The Villa
The villa itself is in Areias Dos Moinhos, a luxury
development situated exactly 1 mile to the east of the village of
Carvoeiro. Completed in 1987 it was built to a very high standard.
Our villa occupies a peaceful location about 50m from the pool. The
pool itself is in an enclosed area with a toilet, showers and plenty of
sun loungers for your use. There is a separate part of the pool for
toddlers.
The accommodation, which is on 3 levels, comprises:
ENTRANCE:
Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine
Large lounge/dining room with a bed-settee
Large shower room with toilet and wash-basin
Car port
LOWER LEVEL:
2 bedrooms (one large enough for up to 4 beds)
Bathroom with bath+shower, toilet, bidet and double vanity
basins.
Another room suitable as a child's bedroom
UPPER LEVEL:
Roof terrace with washing line
Balconies run the full length of the lounge and bedrooms. There is an
outdoor table and chairs for you to eat " al fresco ," (barbecued fish
from the market with Vinho Verde perhaps?).
The villa is well equipped and we have also provided a barbecue, cool
bag, sun umbrella, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a baby's cot.
Lounge
There are many sandy beaches along this stretch of coast. On the
village beach you can hire a boat to view the coastline. The
nearest beach to the villa is Centiannes which has a good
bar/restaurant.

The Resort
Only two and a half hour's flight away from the UK, the Algarve in
Portugal offers a wonderful climate, beautiful coastline, excellent
quality and and good value in wining and dining, friendly people and
superb golf.
The old fishing village of Carvoeiro lies about 1 hour's drive west
of the International Airport of Faro.
As a result of sensible planning control, Carvoeiro can boast a whole
range of restaurants, bars and shops while retaining its essential
character.
As well as the many beaches a number of other activities are
available in and around Carvoeiro.
Golf - enthusiasts are well catered for, with a wide choice of
world class courses, together with those suitable for the more casual
golfer. Carvoeiro itself boasts a championship course and a double-9
hole course , and just 3 minutes drive from the villa is the pleasant 9
hole, par 27 Vale de Milho course. PALMARES, PENINA and VILAMOURA
courses are also within easy reach. There are two half sets of clubs in
the villa for your use.
Horse Riding - There is a horse-riding centre 3km from our
villa.
Trips - Game fishing, boat excursions and sightseeing trips
are easily bookable.
Water Parks - For a fun-seeking family, there are several
water parks including the recommended SLIDE AND SPLASH which is 5km from
the villa.
Casinos - For those who like the luck of the draw, there are
casinos at both Alvor (near Penina) and Villamoura.
